Daily News/new song/ next show
What's new?
As an performing artist, Christoph has not been too helpful lately to
those few local artists that don't own real estate (which includes us I
guess), promoting St. George in the Friday real estate section of the
Daily News (Friday, June 22, "Island of Diversity"). There's a copy on
our
press page
(But hey, Brooklyn is also very cool. And there's a lot of buzz about
the Bronx lately ... )
We've also posted a new full-length song for
free
download.
"Song for Bobby" is dedicated to the tragic character from the classic
picture Saturday Night Fever. You might know that the film has its
dramatic peak with the actors dancing on the iron beams of the
Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the suspension bridge that connects Brooklyn
and Staten Island. It's not a genuine North Shore Song and therefore
won't be on our Volume 1 - 4 CD collection. The song is actually a few
years old and only now has been recorded. And for the first time,
you'll hear Christine Hill's classic Harmochord harmonium, which so
nicely decorates our studio since she left for Weimar and Berlin. The perfect instrument for a seaport town.
We'll be performing that song live for our next show "
Heroes and Home
Fries" on July 20th at the ETG Book Store.
More about that later.
Yours truly,
Trish and Christoph
